When to plant strawberries
It would seem, that we always start our crops or breeding in spring. However, there are certain plants with a longer planting period. These are, of course, strawberries, which we can plant from early spring until late autumn.
However, before we decide to plant small shrubs in such a vast period, we must first make sure that the plants are not infected with any diseases and that they have not been attacked by any parasites. Another condition is this as well, że w momencie kiedy w końcu dostarczono do nas sadzonki truskawek, then we should not delay the decision to put them in the ground for too long.
The process of planting strawberries in the garden should also follow certain guidelines. Namely, we cannot plant them on freshly dug ground. It should of course be fluffed up, but also somewhat decayed after the plowing process. We cover the whole strawberry roots thoroughly, in this way, to cover them thoroughly with a layer of earth, and put even a small cone in it.
We always dig strawberries in the row system. Which means, that there should be a sufficient distance between the rows of approx 80 centimeters. And in rows, between individual seedlings we leave no less than 15 centimeters of free space. After planting, the strawberry seedlings are watered abundantly. In this way, they have a chance to quickly adapt in our garden, for which they will repay you with sweet crops.
